Annoyances
I have been feeling like a grump today, and I really can't pin it on anything. Maybe its the low atmospheric pressure from the storm. Here is a short list of the things that have perturbed me today:
- Rachael Ray... God, can she just stop gesturing with her hands for one blinking second?
- the 4 foot snake by my front door yesterday. What is it with this South Carolina wildlife? Leave me alone critters! I'm a city slicker, and I'm scared!
- speaking of scared, this whole Tropical Storm Alberto was freaking me out. My very intelligent South Carolina friends assured me that it won't be a big deal. Still I found it funny/scary that the first named storm since we moved here is passing through my neighborbood. Frankly though, I expected more. Lots of rain... yes. But it isn't even windy... hell, it isn't even breezy right now. And speaking of Alberto...
- the endless National Alert System notices on the TV. Tornado Watches... Flood Warnings... Water Falling Out of the Sky! Run for your lives! If they preempt Law and Order: SVU one more time, I'm going to kill myself a meteorologist.
- my addiction to the ellipsis

I'm with you on the local weather geeks. Far too much drama.
Ditto what TJ says. The local weathermen and women milk hurricane season for all it is worth.
Dude, the media needs to be spending some more time informing people about the 4 foot death snakes. What the hell kind of King Kong Skull island did you move yourself to?
