Memes are Marvelous

I haven't been blogging as frequently for a very good reason, which I shall get into tomorrow. I hope. My sister has been crawling up my butt (which is hard to do from 3,000 miles away) to put my fingers on the keyboard and write something - anything - on this blog. She hit me with a meme today in a last desperate act to try and get me blogging again.

Sister and I have a little bit of information about our ancestors. Unfortunately, beyond previous two generations, all we know is pertinent dates and names. It is a bummer for a history buff like me when I realize that I know more about the life and times of Cleopatra VII's family than my own.

So why not make up a family? Get ready for some Fantasy Geneaology!

1. Which famous person would you most like to learn that you are descended from? Bill Gates, mmm.... money.

2. Which famous person would you hate to learn that you are descended from? Adolf Hitler, for obvious reasons. Can you imagine me with that mustache? Yecch!

3. If you could be ancestor to any living famous person, who would it be and why? Uhm, I don't know. Wouldn't that mean that I would be really old now? Oh okay, I'll answer the question. Bill Gates. Mmm... fancy retirement home.

4. If you could go back in time and meet any known ancestor(s) of yours, who would it be? The ancestors who first immigrated to America. It would be interesting to see why they left Germany and other parts of Europe to come over here. Of course, it would also be cool to see my grandma and my grandpa again.
